HOLLOW WOOD OKANUE – WITH STRIPES (SOLD)

SOLD

10’0″

Very late 50’s, round deck – round bottom.

Tail and nose block, solid round rails.

The yanks bought their 9-11′ Balsas over to Torquay in 1956, they were considered short boards as we were still riding longboards and toothpicks. They ranged from 11’10″ to 17’6 and were quite heavy and very hard to handle. You needed to be 12 to 15 stone to carry them to the beach on your shoulder. We cored the two Balsas the yanks left behind and made the first short boards from wood. Balsa was either poor quality or too expensive at that time.

This is 100% original. And top condition!

Most people will want it as is. If someone wants it bought up to new condition, the charge will be $3700

This is unique

Great Condition – 9/10
